Bumitama Gunajaya Agro (BGA) has a very strong desire to become a world class plantation company. That is what underlies the company's commitment to carry out the principles and criteria of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).


The commitment is clearly reflected from the steps taken by an official BGA apply become a member of the RSPO in October 2007. BGA membership in the RSPO to this day continue to be updated.


BGA has and will always try to do the internal corrective measures in order to plant and garden activities runs in line with RSPO principles and criteria. The relentless efforts made by all individuals constantly on the BGA that the company be a better, law abiding, and responsible for the environment and biodiversity.


RSPO is a nonprofit organization that accommodate all stakeholders (stakeholhers) palm oil industry. RSPO members come from oil palm plantation companies, processing companies, traders (traders), consumer goods companies, retailers, banks and investors, as well as NGOs.


Organization formed in 2004 that aims to promote the growth and use of sustainable palm oil products through a global standard and the involvement of all stakeholders.


In order to improve industry standards for sustainable, BGA has established strategic cooperation with IOI Corporation Bhd. Malaysian plantation companies were among 11 oil companies already pocketing RSPO certificate.


Agenda that has been operated by the company to meet the RSPO principles including preserving the environment do the composting plant waste oil, either from solid or liquid, into an environmentally friendly fertilizer.
